Most people put this idea out there right at the start of January when everybody is supercharged and makes vows like:
- “I will eat healthy and exercise”
- “I will love every human I meet”
- “I will read more and become proficient in nine languages” –and–
- “I will never drink again”.
Then, after a sobering month has gone by, people tend to go back to their set ways. So, I thought this would be the perfect time to spring Pay it Forward on you!!
Last month, I was one of the lucky first five to sign up on the lovely Vivjm’s blog and so now, I am doing my part.
The rules are very simple.
- The first five people to post a comment here will receive a handmade gift from me at some point during 2013. You won’t know when and you won’t know what, but I can assure you, it will happen. (I will email you for your snail mail, so it will be private).
- As one of the five, you agree to do the same for five other people.
Kitty, of course will help with the hand (paw) made items.
What a wonderful way to meet new folks, as well as a beautiful and simple method to share the love, as they say. So, let’s spread the crafty goodness around so we can feel the genuine excitement of handmade delights delivered right to our mailboxes. Snail mail rocks!
Awesome! I’m in! I have already set up a Pay it Forward on my personal FB page.
Excellent! You are numero uno on the list of five. So happy to have you aboard and good luck with the Pay it Forward on your page 🙂
I am in! I will post it on my Facebook Page as well. 🙂
That is terrific Laurie, welcome to the love sharing!
I already did pay it forward on Facebook, I did not get five. Guess I’ll have to do it again…lol
Hi Laura! Well, you are completely welcome into our little love shack of paying it forward goodness. Some advice, post my link with Kitty’s pic and message when you do your next pay it forward. Kitty attracts them in droves. You’ll have people fighting to be in your top five!!!
LOL! Isn’t that the truth. Love your blog and the pay it forward concept. I did this a few years ago on Facebook and had great fun.
Thanks for your compliments! Yes, I love the idea of the Pay it Forward concept as well. We are only too happy to share the love and have you share it back…..or forward…either way works 🙂
My Russian Blue does absolutely the same! They are such helpers!!!!!
Hi Natalia, Kitty extends his greetings to your Russian Blue. And looks forward to sending him some paw-made goodies!
I’m in too! Like this idea! Would be happy to have paw-made goody!
Kitty is honoured that the idea of his paw-made goodies delight you 🙂 You are in for our lovely little circle of paying it forward.
I’m counting comments. Am I too late?
Technically speaking, you are too late as we already have five. Lucky for you though, Kitty cannot count very well, so you are still IN for the fun and Love Shack Sharing. Go forth and multiply the love on your blog and expect something from us this year.
I’m so excited! My kitties can’t count either, especially at meal time. Lucky me on all counts.
A Roaring Success was enjoyed by Gjeometry’s 2013 Pay It Forward event! And, due to Kitty’s inability to count, he let a sixth participant sneak in, so we have even more love to share! Kitty’s love knows no bounds :).
Thank you to everybody for participating in our part to help make the world a happier and craftier place. Good luck with your Pay It Forward endeavours!
What fun! I love that kitty is helping too. Adorable. I’m going to play along thru Alys’s lovely Blog, Gardening Nirvana and can’t wait!
Hi there Boomdeedda, thanks for stopping by. That’s fantastic that you are already participating in one of our first five (six) from my blog (Born to Organize from Gardening Nirvana). That’s the way the game is played, paying it forward :). It should be a lot of fun!
Ok, here is the official list of five (six 🙂 ). I have sent you all an email to get your snail mails so I know where to send your handmade goodness.
1. Carmencitabs
2. Laurie Livingston
3. Laura
4. Natalia Maks
5. Inna
6. Born to Organize
How cute is Kitty… and obviously loves sewing with you too LOL.
🙂 Kitty thanks you. But he is already a legend in his own mind….
Dawww your kitty is just too cute! I love how he(?) is lending a paw. That top picture looks like he’s patting the machine to encourage it!
I’m so glad to have discovered your blog (and cat!) through Sew Grateful week. I would love to nominate you for the Sewing With Cats Blog Award…more information here: http://cationdesigns.blogspot.com/2012/03/sewing-with-cats-blog-award.html
Eeeeek!!! And Meeeeooooowwwwww! Were our reactions! Thank you so much for this lovely honour. Kitty also humbly accepts, although he knows he deserves it and is not really humble about it at all.
I should like to formally accept your award in a blogpost, and employ all the rules into place. It may not be for a little bit, as I have a few posts already lined up due to the giveaway I’m having and the pattern pyramid. I can’t wait though, and kitty is going to dress up for the award acceptance ceremony!!
If Kitty dresses up it will be the best thing ever!! No worries on when you post…everyone knows that putting deadlines on things involving cats is a losing proposition anyway!
Kitty is planning his outfit as we speak.
congrats kitty!! What a lucky cat to win such a special award.
Kitty thanks you. He also says luck has nothing to do with it. He earned every bit of it!! 🙂
he’s right. Sorry kitty I know how talented you are so of course you deserve this award.
